The Lee's Summit Missouri Police Department is an agency of 170 sworn officers serving a population of 110,000 people spread out over 70 square miles. We are a thriving suburb on the southeast side of the Kansas City, MO metro area. The city is known for it's public safety, gold star rated school district and beautiful city parks and greenspaces. Officers with the LSPD are afforded work agreements and job protection via the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #50. Officers with the LSPD enjoy a variety of both full time and part time assignments such as; Detective, SWAT, UAS / Drone operator, EOD, bicycle officer, Honor Guard, K-9, Traffic Officer (motorcycle optional), Crime Reduction Team (plainclothes detective assignment) and Community Interaction Officer assignments.

The officers of the LSPD have a long standing relationship with the citizens and city that we serve, our citizens are actively engaged in reducing crime in our city and we value their input and partnership. Officers at LSPD practice community policing from the top down and we work with our citizens and business partners to achieve that goal.
